How does categorization work?

TrackIt combines learned merchant rules, history, and fuzzy matching. You can correct categories, apply rules to Other, and improve future imports.

Signed-in data is scoped to your user on the API. Guest mode stays in the browser session and does not upload statements.

Core workflows

Clear the Other queue with suggestions, rules, or manual chips.

Open /transactions/review or the Needs review tab. Rows categorized as Other need a real lifestyle label.
